Just coming back from API Days London – #apidays – dedicated to Open Banking & PSD2 regulation

This was an excellent event with 2 full days talking and listening about to digital banking transformation with APIs.

The event took place at the “One Canada Square” tower – in the Canary Wharf business district – which has 50 floors and was the tallest building in the United Kingdom from 1990 until late 2010.

This was more specifically at the Technology Accelerator – Level 39 – and was hosted by the Open Bank Project.

The program was quite intensive but very interesting with many different presentations from bankers, consultants, software vendors, integration specialists … Below the program:

There were two conference rooms hosting the sessions and I must say they were constantly full with passionate professionals.

Axway was well represented during this event, with a great presentation from and a round table with my colleague Bruno Cambounet. Axway also sponsored the latest API Days Research named “Banking APIs: Sate of the Market in 2016”.

The event is now followed by a 3-day hackathon – “Hack/Make The Bank API Days London 2016 Edition” –  focused on APIs for banking, finance and payment industries, bringing together programmers, designers and members of the financial services industry to debate, design, code and pitch ideas. The winning team will receive £1,000; the other prizes are 2 tickets to “Blockchain week London” and 2 tickets to “API Days Paris”.

If you read this post down to this line, you are probably interested in registering for the API Days Paris in December. I will be there and will be looking forward to meeting me you. In the meantime, I invite you to check our recent on-demand Webinar dedicated to Open Banking and PSD2:
